PUNISH GU FANS

There is no doubt that the unprecedented Gaborone United fanatics display in threatening to manhandle coach Nikola Kavazovic is uncalled for and no amount of justification will ever be sufficient to resort to hooliganism in last weekend's Mascom Top 8 first leg 1 nil loss encounter against the hosts Jwaneng Galaxy.
Significantly, the new coach just arrived by taking over from the illheathed Madinda Ndlovu,at the same time the team is not that bad considering that it was away, conceding one goal and it is in position nine of the premier league log standing, just one step from top 8.
On the contrary, the GU fans are decrying the coach's philosophy. This is perhaps the major reason that anti Nikola caucaus errupts. In particular the team selection, substitutions and other tactical approaches by the coach.

In my view, this numerous hearsays clearly underestimate the caliber of coaching skills Nikola posses. One may also refer to Township Rollers fans influence in getting him sucked.A fan is a fan, they want to be heard, yes they can.Interestingly Rollers management then heard their fans displeasure of Nikola through the use of social media. On the other hand,GU fans decided to resort to violence, thanks to men in uniform for coming to save the day for Nikola and our football image.

Although GU has since released a statement condemning these bad deeds by there fans, the management should do more.Fortunately many perpetrators are caught on camera in this devius act.Local football authority Botswana Football Association(BFA) should also chip in the matter through its semi-autonomous organ Botswana Premier League(BPL) and punish the accused.

Consequently,Premier Soccer League(PSL) in South Africa has experienced the same following Sundowns walloping of Orlando Pirates in the all infamous 6-nill win.I for one was terrified to see Pirates fans as angry as they were to attack everyone on their way to express there pain. Thanks lord PSL was bold enough to punish Pirate to play two matches behind closed doors.Additionally other consequences in my view could be a heavy fine and community service to the perpetrators.

Athough the riots are reportedly ignited by a leader in GU,he has released a statement distancing himself from the allegations.Poor Nikola,he has now forced to resign for his oqn safety, shame on you GU!

Above all,you are a husband,a father and a brother.Imagine then fying 7,355 kilometers to be threatened by your customers. How would you fill at work.Hands off Nikola please!
